PoE2 loot filter creator

Choose how strict it is
Seven levels, straight from NeverSink's filter. The stricter it is, the less clutter you see on the ground.
- SoftShows almost everything. Good for a first character.
- RegularCampaign and early maps.
- Semi-strictEarly to mid maps.
- StrictMid maps: hides most normal and magic gear.
- Very strictLate maps.
- Uber strictHigh-end mapping, very little shown.
- Uber plus strictOnly valuable drops.

Gold, currency, uniques and quest items show on every setting. Magic and rare items show from tier 2, or only tier 4-5 on Uber strict and Uber plus strict.
Highlight drops for your build
If you've planned or loaded a build in Build Mentor, the filter can make the bases your build wants stand out:
- your weapon types (and shield, quiver or focus) highlighted
- only your defence type of armour (armour, evasion or energy shield), if you like
- normal and magic bases of your weapon shown while levelling, up to area level 30, 45, 65 or 75
Show or hide whole item types
For each of these, pick Show (always visible), Default (NeverSink decides by strictness and value) or Hide (never shown):

How to install it
- Click Download filter in the loot filter creator.
- Put the .filter file in Documents/My Games/Path of Exile 2/ (if it comes in a .zip, open the .zip first).
- In the game, go to Options → Game → Item Filter and pick the filter.
- Changed your mind? Make a new one and replace the file; the game reloads it when you pick it again.

Is the loot filter creator free?
Yes. Build Mentor is a free fan tool that works in any browser, with no account.
Which strictness should I pick?
Soft or Regular for your first character and the campaign, Semi-strict when you start maps, then Strict or stricter as your character gets stronger and you only want valuable drops.
What is NeverSink's filter?
The most widely used Path of Exile loot filter. Build Mentor uses version 0.10.4 of it as the base: its rules decide which items are worth showing and how they look and sound. Your choices are added on top and win.
Which patch is it for?
Path of Exile 2 patch 0.5.5. The item data is refreshed each league.
Do I need to plan a build first?
No. The filter works without a build. With one, it also highlights the bases your build uses.
